A native New Englander, Margaret lives in Kittery, Maine. Several years ago, a casual curiosity sparked her interest in family history and completely hooked her. Now, through Common Folk Ancestry, she devotes her energy to helping others discover their heritage.
Margaret specializes in researching the lives of 19th and early 20th century immigrants to New England and has done extensive research in Middlesex, Suffolk and Worcester Counties in Massachusetts; and, Aroostook and York Counties in Maine. She researches in major Boston repositories, various New England sites, utilizes online resources, and makes periodic research trips to Washington D.C. and The Family History Library in Salt Lake City.
Margaret earned her CGSM designation from the Board for Certification of Genealogists®.
